About
The Role
As an Onsite Safety Professional, youwill serve as the primary safety authority for major campus developments in Summerville, SC, St. George, SC, Moncks Corner, SC, and Augusta, GA. This project-based position requires 3 to 5 year commitments to ensure rigoroussafety compliance and risk mitigation in high-stakes, critical environments.
You will operate from onsite construction trailers,dedicating 70% of your time to field oversight and 30% to critical project documentation. Because construction timelines fluctuate, you must be available onsite Monday through Friday. Your schedule will vary across 2nd and 3rd shiftsto align with project demands.
We prefer local candidates, though relocation or temporaryper diem packages may be considered for exceptional applicants. This position requires full-time, onsite attendance. You are expected to work at least 8hours daily, with additional availability required for incident response andrisk assessments.
What You Will Do- Oversee General Contractor EHS compliance through daily field tours, biweekly safety project management walks, and monthly evaluations.
- Provide construction management with real-time safety metrics, incident reports, and weekly EHS summaries.
- Facilitate safety committees and provide expert support for risk assessments, incident investigations, and project milestone reviews.
- Manage daily safety improvement and recognition reporting systems, meet site-wide service level agreements, and ensure the immediate correction of non-compliance issues.
- Experience:
3 to 5 years in mission-critical or data center construction involving complex electrical and mechanical systems. - Education:
Bachelor’s degree preferred, or 5 to 7 years of related experience including at least 2 years in safety or field supervision over electrical, mechanical, or heavy equipment trades. - Safety Expertise:
Deep knowledge of NFPA 70E, OSHA, NESC, ANSI, and industry best practices for large-scale, critical construction projects. - Skills:
Strong communication and influencing abilities, the capacity to work independently, proven experience in root cause analysis, risk mitigation, and team mentorship. - Tools:
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace. - Work Authorization:
