The Construction Manager is responsible for overseeing all construction and rehabilitation activities associated with ACA's housing programs. This position ensures projects are completed according to specifications, budgets, timelines, and applicable building codes while maintaining high standards of workmanship and safety.
- Oversee residential rehabilitation and construction projects.
- Conduct site visits and project inspections.
- Coordinate contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, and inspectors.
- Review construction estimates, bids, and scopes of work.
- Monitor project budgets, schedules, and quality standards.
- Ensure compliance with building codes and program requirements.
- Verify completed work prior to payment approval.
- Prepare construction progress reports and project documentation.
- Assist homeowners and contractors in resolving project issues.
- Maintain project files, photographs, and inspection records.
- College degree preferred in Construction Management, Engineering Technology, Building Construction, or a related field.
- Relevant construction experience may substitute for a college degree.
- Minimum five (5) years of experience in residential construction, rehabilitation, project management, or building inspection.
- Knowledge of construction methods, estimating, building codes, and safety practices.
- Ability to read blueprints, specifications, and scopes of work.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required.
