Master’s degree in School Counseling, Counseling or a related field, active School Counselor license and 1+ years School Counselor experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A school counselor position is available in Summerville, SC, offering a contract role within a school setting. The position requires a licensed professional counselor to support students' academic, social, and emotional development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individual and group counseling to students
- Develop and implement counseling programs that enhance student well-being
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and administrators to address student needs
- Assist students with academic planning and career guidance
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in accordance with school policies
Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Counseling or Social Work required
- Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) credential preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively with diverse student populations
- Experience in school counseling is highly desirable
Work Schedule:
- 35 hours per week
- Contract role starting ASAP through May 29th, 2026
