Job Responsibilities
- Provides for weekly worship services and the sacraments.
- Assists in providing crisis intervention services for inmates including, but not limited to, deaths and critical illness of family members.
- Conducts religious education classes and social skills groups as needed and/or requested.
- Provides individual and group pastoral counseling.
- Provides daily visitation to inmates as needed.
- Recruits and trains institutional volunteers.

Minimum And Additional Requirements
The equivalent of a Master of Divinity degree from an accredited theological school, additional clinical pastoral education and/or work experience in a clinical pastoral setting.
SCDCMinimum Requirements
- Must have the equivalent of a Master of Divinity degree from an accredited theological seminary;
- Ordination as a priest, minister, or Rabbi, with current ecclesiastical endorsement; one (1) year of pastoral experience; and must have completed two (2) CPE units under the supervision of an ACPE certified educator.
- Will be required to have 4 units of CPE within 24 months of hire.
