Insight Global is seeking an experienced Process Engineer III to join a rapidly growing health supplements company based out of Summerville, SC. This position is responsible for driving manufacturing excellence across the client's production operations. This role applies advanced engineering and scientific principles to design, optimize, and scale robust manufacturing processes while ensuring full compliance with cGMP, OSHA, Quality, and company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
You will lead cross‑functional teams to create detailed PFMEA's for all major manufacturing processes, compile mitigation plans for high‑risk areas and execute corrective & preventative actions. Qualified candidates will have prior hands‑on Process Development & Process Engineering experience in an FDA‑regulated environment, such as nutraceutical, pharmaceutical, or other dry blending settings. You must have excellent project management skills with the ability to work autonomously and cross‑train younger Engineers best practices.
This is an onsite role based out of Summerville, South Carolina.
- 5+ years of hands‑on experience in Process Development & Process Engineering in FDA‑regulated pharmaceutical, nutraceutical, or dry blending industries
- Comprehensive knowledge of creating detailed PFMEA's (Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis) at an SME level
- Strong knowledge of Statistics, Design of Experiments (DOE) and highly skilled at Minitab, Visio and generating detailed project schedules
- Excellent communication and project management skills with the ability to work autonomously and cross train younger Engineers
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Chemistry or related field
- Ability to work onsite in Summerville, SC
- Master's Degree or PhD in Engineering, Chemistry or related field
- Powder characterization, mixing/blending and bulk material handling & processing experience
- Experience working with lab equipment, pilot jobs and experimentation following GLP standards
