Working as part of the Mission Critical team, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to design advanced mechanical systems, develop expertise in cutting-edge cooling technologies, and collaborate with experienced engineers on some of the industry's most complex data center projects. This role is ideal for a Mechanical Engineer looking to accelerate their career within a fast-growing sector.
Responsibilities:
- Design mechanical systems for hyperscale, colocation and enterprise data centre projects.
- Develop HVAC system layouts, mechanical equipment selections and construction documentation.
- Design chilled water, condenser water, cooling plant and ventilation systems for mission critical environments.
- Perform HVAC load calculations and equipment sizing.
- Coordinate designs with electrical, plumbing, structural and technology teams to deliver fully integrated solutions.
- Attend client meetings, design reviews and multidisciplinary project coordination sessions.
- Support construction administration through RFIs, submittal reviews and occasional site visits.
- Assist with commissioning activities and project close-out.
- Ensure designs comply with ASHRAE standards, mechanical codes and client specifications.
- Support junior engineers while continuing to develop your technical expertise within the Mission Critical sector.
Skills/Must Have:
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- 3+ years' experience designing mechanical systems for mission critical, data centre or large commercial projects.
- Strong understanding of HVAC and mechanical building systems.
- Experience with chilled water systems, CRAH/CRAC units, cooling plants and ventilation systems is highly desirable.
- Experience using Revit, AutoCAD and HVAC design software.
- Working knowledge of ASHRAE standards and applicable mechanical codes.
- EIT certification preferred or actively working towards obtaining PE licensure.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work within multidisciplinary engineering teams.

Salary:
- Up to $120,000 Basic Salary
