Pediatric RN - Summerville, SC

The role involves working in a pediatric critical care float pool, supporting multiple units including the Cardiovascular PICU, Neonatal ICU, and PICU, ensuring comprehensive coverage and patient-centered service.

Schedule:

• 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (7:00 AM - 7:30 PM)
• 36 hours per week
• Every other weekend and holiday rotation required

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide critical care nursing to pediatric patients with complex medical needs
• Float between units (CVPICU, NICU, PICU) within your scope of practice to meet staffing demands
• Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes
• Adhere to facility protocols and maintain compliance with certification requirements

Qualifications:

• Minimum 2 years of Pediatric ICU nursing experience; first-time pediatric ICU nurses with relevant skills considered
• Current South Carolina or Multi-State/Compact RN license
• Certifications in BLS and PALS (American Heart Association only) required
• Preferred experience with ECMO and CRRT care modalities
• Ability to accommodate flexible scheduling with managerial approval

• During hurricane season (June-November), participation in emergency response may be required
• Facility policy allows for limited call-off allowances and requires submission of requested time off at the point of application
