Imaging Tech Aide PRN

The Imaging Tech Aide assists in workflow of the department under the guidance of registered technologists and the supervisor of the departments. Other duties include, but are not limited to clerical tasks, scheduling, transportation, ordering supplies, inventory, cleaning, and anything deemed necessary by the Medical Imaging Management Team. The aide follows the Radiation Protection Program including ALARA, as low as reasonably achievable for patients, physicians, and personnel, and follows all regulatory compliance for DHEC, the Joint Commission, ACR, and any regulatory agency governing radiation safety.

The role may include direct supervision of students at the discretion of the area supervisor; the employee must have the same licensure or have completed the same training required for the discipline of the student, and the primary caregiver must be readily available to the student throughout the shift.

What qualifications you will need:

• Basic Cardiac Life Support required
• Enrollment in an AMA approved school of Radiologic Technology preferred
• Experience preferred in Diagnostic Imaging to include clinical hours from an AMA approved school of Radiologic Technology.
