Business Operations Modernization Analyst; Information Systems​/Business Analyst III

The South Carolina Department of Education seeks a Work Management Business Analyst to serve as the agency's Asana platform expert and drive workflow modernization across divisions. This mid-level role owns platform governance, analyzes business processes, designs workflows and automation, builds executive dashboards, and leads adoption training. The position sits within the Office of Implementation and Support in the Information Technology Division and supports SCDE's mission to improve how the agency delivers educational services through structured work management.

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, MIS, business administration, or related field
• Minimum 2 years professional experience in business analysis, IT project coordination, workflow management, or process improvement; 1+ year in public sector/government preferred
• Proficiency in business process analysis techniques including process mapping, requirements elicitation, and workflow documentation
• Strong written and verbal communication skills to translate technical workflows for diverse audiences
• Demonstrated experience with enterprise work management platforms (Asana, , Jira, Smartsheet, or equivalent)
• Experience working in cross-functional team environments with multiple stakeholders across departments
