The Shipping Material Handler plays a critical role in ensuring the accurate, efficient, and compliant movement of products within Thorne’s Distribution Department. This position is responsible for picking, packing, restocking, palletizing, and preparing shipments while strictly adhering to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs). Success in this role requires strong attention to detail, a commitment to quality and safety, and the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast‑paced environment.
The Shipping Material Handler collaborates with team members, maintains accurate documentation, operates material-handling equipment, and supports overall workflow efficiency to ensure customers receive the correct products on time.

Compensation: $19.00 / hour
Responsibilities- Accurately pick, pack, and prepare a wide variety of customer orders with speed and precision.
- Maintain order integrity while organizing carts, pallets, and packed shipments neatly and efficiently.
- Pull product for restocking the distribution center, ensuring correct product and lot numbers.
- Build and shrink-wrap pallets for distribution.
- Operate transportation equipment to move and retrieve materials as directed.
- Cross-train in multiple areas and flex to support team priorities as needed.
- Complete all required documentation accurately and thoroughly.
- Prioritize daily workflow based on department needs.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) is preferred.
- Ability to read and understand written directions in English, including Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs), and the Thorne Research Employee Handbook.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in the units of measurement using whole numbers and decimals.
- Ability to sufficiently concentrate to distinguish between 300+ product codes and individual product lot numbers every time a product is pulled.
