Job Summary

Join HCA Healthcare Summerville Hospital as a per-diem RN Mother Baby. Under the direction of the Nursing Director or Supervisor, the RN delivers quality patient care through the nursing process—assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation—for postpartum mother-baby combinations and other clinical duties as assigned. The RN directs all nursing care based on established clinical practice and federal, state, and local regulations, incorporates patient age-specific development and cultural values into the plan of care, and contributes to quality improvement and multidisciplinary collaboration to achieve positive patient outcomes.

The RN may also supervise students as directed.

• Deliver quality patient care via the nursing process for postpartum mother-baby combinations and other clinical duties.
• Direct all nursing care for patients based on established clinical practice and applicable regulations.
• Incorporate patient’s age-specific development and cultural values into the plan of care.
• Contribute to quality nursing care through process improvement techniques and multidisciplinary collaboration.
• Directly supervise students as directed, ensuring primary caregiver availability throughout shift.

No travel required; this is a per-diem position.

• Basic Cardiac Life Support certification within 30 days of employment start date.
• Neonate Resuscitation certification within 30 days of employment start date.
• Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Associate Degree in Nursing or equivalent.
