Brief Description
The Account Development Specialist is responsible for developing business through a mixture of managing incoming leads and growing existing and/or inactive accounts within ACR. The Account Development Specialist will ensure a smooth sales process from start to finish, from communicating with customers to understand their needs, vetting solutions, and seeing through the logistics of closing the sale. This is a sales position responsible for carrying and meeting a sales quota.
This is a hybrid position that requires 3 days/week on-site in our Summerville, SC location.
- Qualify inbound calls/emails from prospects, understand client needs and requirements, and provide solutions related to account setup, product knowledge, samples, and quote to closing.
- Research and qualify all inbound opportunities; once new accounts are established, determine which ACR Commercial team would manage the account.
- Nurture low-activity and/or inactive accounts by coordinating with Regional Sales Manager (RSM) or District Sales Manager (DSM), researching CRM for client information, understanding customer needs, and proposing new products and solutions to increase account revenue.
- Research and generate leads with RSM/DSM for customers that are interested in Overstock programs, provide pricing and quotes, and work with customer through order completion.
- 2+ years of experience in an inside sales capacity managing inbound sales leads from end-to-end required.
- Prior experience prospecting for new business and upselling existing accounts a plus.
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or sales-adjacent degree track preferred but not required.
- Ability to build instant rapport and achieve customer satisfaction through active listening and
- Ability to multitask, respond to phone calls and emails promptly and with professionalism for prospects, customers, and coworkers.
- Self-starter, with the ability to work independently as well as execute a plan as it is communicated to them.
- Team-oriented person who is seeking to contribute to the overall success of their sales team and the organization.
- Organizational skills with the ability able to effectively prioritize objectives for the day.
The salary range for this position is $40,000 - 45,000 annually. Salary is based on experience and other qualification factors. There is also an opportunity to earn up to $1,000 quarterly if account targets are met.
