Campus Security Officer (Library)
The Library safety officer is responsible for providing the safety and security of students, faculty, and staff frequenting the Library during evening hours. This includes making rounds inside the Library, observing and reporting any unusual circumstances, and securing doors as required.
- Provides for the safety and security of students, faculty, and staff visiting the Library during evening hours.
- Ensures only authorized persons are given access to the Library by checking patrons for University .
- Unlocks doors for authorized personnel to enter rooms or buildings as directed by an authorized University official or supervisor.
- Ensures those loading or unloading equipment or materials from buildings have proper authorization.
- Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications: High School diploma or GED. Must be 18 years of age. Must possess a valid South Carolina driver’s license with a good driving record. Successful background check is required.
Preferred Qualifications: Prior safety, security or law enforcement experience preferred.
