Already strong with cable? We'll train you on access control. A growing commercial systems team in the Charleston area is hiring Cable Technicians who want to level up into access control and security systems
. If you've spent time pulling Cat6, working on commercial jobsites, and using hand tools—and you want to expand your skill set—this is your opportunity.

You bring the cable experience and work ethic. We'll train you on access control.

• Hands‑on training in access control and door hardware
• Long‑term projects already booked (13,000+ hours scheduled through 2026)
• Local Charleston‑area work (schools, government buildings, airport)
• 4‑day workweek (7:00–5:30); occasional Fridays
• Contract‑to‑hire with real career paths
• Lead Installer, Field Supervisor, Project Management

• Pulling & terminating Cat5/Cat6 and low‑voltage cable
• Installing pathways (EMT, J‑hooks, tray, sleeves)
• Assisting with device rough‑ins and trims
• Learning how cabling ties into access control, cameras, and security systems
• Working as part of a clean, organized, team‑first jobsite

• Access control system installs
• Card readers, strikes, sensors, crash bars
• Door hardware and electrified locking components
• Basic system troubleshooting and service work
• Security system layouts and project flow

You won’t be thrown into the deep end—training is hands‑on and supported by experienced techs.

• 2+ years of commercial cabling experience
• Comfortable using hand and power tools
• Reliable transportation
• Strong jobsite habits:
  • on time, professional, presentable, cleans up after yourself
• Willingness to learn new systems and skills

• Fiber experience
• Previous electrical or installer experience
• Exposure to cameras or security systems

• You bring basic hand tools
• Company provides specialty tools, PPE, and company vans
• Larger projects include central meet‑up and ride‑along to the site

• Schools and government facilities
• Airport parking structures and secure areas
• Mostly indoor commercial environments

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Summerville, SC.

The pay range for this position is $20.00 – $26.00/hr.
