• Participates in district offered professional development
• Upon explanation of the classroom procedures/student regulatory policies, instructional assistants will follow said procedures and policies
• Be able to employ independent problem‑solving and critical thinking skills in the role of TLC Instructional Assistant
• Work with TLC Coordinator in all aspects of the TLC to ensure student success
• Work with students on writing and literacy in the Writing Lab
• Type in Test codes for students in the Testing Center
• Manage and secure physical tests for the Testing Center
• Communicate with TLC coordinator and teachers about Testing Center and Writing Lab activity
• Monitor students in the testing center to prevent academic dishonesty; if assistant has a license, push into classrooms to help with literacy; tutor students
• Assist the Teaching and Learning Coordinator classroom in implementing instructional strategies
• Assist in implementing Argo High School's crisis management plan

• Excellent organizational, operational, administrative, and interpersonal skills
• Experience and knowledge of office computer software operations
• Ability to relate both written and verbally to students, parents, visitors, and staff
• Physical ability to meet job requirements
• Teacher license preferred in Core subject, but not required
• Proper ISBE Certification, High School Diploma/GED and maintain
