SummaryResponsible for the oversight of the Argo facility Supply Chain team including logistics personnel, warehouse staff, and site administrative assistant. Owner of the site’s Quality Management System and ISO 9001 certifications. Functional manager of the Infineum tolling operation including customer relations, contract management and supply chain. Fully support company goals of continuous improvement and operational excellence at strategic and tactical levels, reviewing area of responsibility for improvement opportunities to initiate projects or communicate ideas to management as well as active participation on project teams.
DutiesAnd Responsibilities
- Manages and develops warehouse staff by selecting, orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job contributions.
- Ensuring that Infineum products are manufactured and handled in a safe, productive, and environmentally sound manner.
- Managing/communicating Argo supply chain business matters with other Westlake organizations.
- Providing leadership and administrative support to the Westlake business.
- Overseeing the site Quality Management System.
- Ensuring adherence to applicable local, state, and federal regulations.
- Managing change and implementing continuous improvement opportunities.
- Maintain documentation confirming that all Westlake and contracted personnel who work in the warehouse have reviewed and understand all Westlake Warehouse Procedures.
- Properly train personnel to complete their assignments in a safe manner, in compliance with all Westlake HS&E Procedures.
- Maintains all records in compliance with Westlake Procurement and Accounting Procedures.
- Operate the warehouse in compliance with ISO 9001.
- Comply with all Warehouse Policies & Procedures and DOA requirements as they relate to Warehouse activity.
- Perform other duties as requested by purchasing management to assure effective and efficient operation of the department, including active participation on any assigned project teams.
- Comply with all Company policies and procedures. Fully supports Company goals of continuous improvement and operational excellence at strategic and tactical levels, reviewing area of responsibility for improvement opportunities.
- Bachelors degree in an applicable field required. Minimum of 10 years of experience in an industrial setting.
- Effective oral and written communication skills, ability to utilize PC and experience in general software applications such as SAP, Excel, Word.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit; stand; walk; use hands to touch, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, or crouch. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
WORKENVIRONMENT
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate, as normally based in an office. Some of the work may be required in the operating units which can require usage of required PPE including safety glasses, hearing protection, FRCs, etc. May also result in exposure to outside elements and may require usage of stairs and elevators. Travel including air travel or auto travel may occasionally be required.
