Principal Accountabilities
- Manages phones
- Greets patients
- Schedules and confirms appointments
- Enters demographics and patient information
- Verifies insurance coverage, completes forms, and collects co‑pays
- Balances cash
- Maintains schedule in EMR system and processes pre‑certifications, authorizations, referrals and medical record releases
- Other related duties as assigned
Required:
- High School Diploma or equivalent experience
- Prior administrative experience in a physician practice strongly preferred
- Knowledge of computerized scheduling and EMR system a plus
Preferred:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Customer and employee focused, multi‑tasking ability
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite
