Special Events Coordinator and Parents’ Association Moderator
Key ResponsibilitiesThe Special Events Coordinator is responsible for planning and managing all events that support the Office of Institutional Advancement, from concept through execution and follow-up.
Key responsibilities include:
- Coordinating logistics
- Managing timelines and budgets
- Overseeing vendor relationships
- Supporting volunteer committees
- Ensuring a high-quality, mission-aligned experience for all constituents
In addition, the Coordinator serves as Moderator of the Parents’ Association (PA), acting as a liaison between the school and parent community.
Responsibilities include:
- Guiding and supporting PA leadership
- Coordinating meetings and communications
- Overseeing parent‑led initiatives and events
- Ensuring alignment with school priorities and policies
The Coordinator is also responsible for additional day‑to‑day administrative functions of the office.
QualificationsThe ideal candidate will possess a love for special events management, be an energetic and enthusiastic professional, and be able to build relationships with internal and external constituents.
- Proficiency in Word, Excel, and Google Docs is required.
- Comfort with technology and an ability to quickly learn event software is essential.
- Familiarity with fundraising and donor management software, such as Blackbaud Raiser’s Edge, preferred.
- The successful candidate will actively support the mission of Oak Knoll School of the Holy Child each day and remain calm, flexible, and professional under pressure.
