This role sits within a highly profitable, market-leading B2B SaaS and data business widely regarded as the gold standard in its sector. The company generates 90%+ recurring SaaS revenue, serves enterprise and institutional clients, and has delivered consistent double-digit growth for several years.
Backed by Private Equity, the business has completed five acquisitions in the past three years across the U.S. and international markets and is positioned for a potential liquidity event in the next 2–3 years. With offices across major East Coast cities and a growing footprint in Europe and Australia, this is a scaled, disciplined SaaS platform preparing for its next phase of growth.
THE ROLEThe Corporate Controller will serve as the CFO’s right hand and a core member of the finance leadership team. The CFO is a seasoned executive intentionally hiring someone with the capability and ambition to grow into a CFO role over time.
This position offers broad exposure across global accounting, audit, M&A integration, systems modernization, and direct interaction with Private Equity ownership. The role oversees six direct reports and a total team of approximately 25 professionals across the U.S. and Europe.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES- Lead and develop a global accounting organization across multiple geographies
- Drive a high-performance culture with clear accountability and development paths
- Support M&A due diligence and post-acquisition integration alongside Deloitte
- Own Salesforce-to-Net Suite integration and order-to-cash optimization
- Oversee global financial reporting and consolidations under U.S. GAAP
- Serve as primary liaison for the KPMG annual audit
- Partner with EY on federal, state, sales, and international tax matters
- Maintain a strong internal control environment aligned with PE expectations
- Own close, revenue recognition (ASC 606), commissions, leases, and SaaS accounting
- Manage cash forecasting, covenant compliance, and banking relationships
- Big 4 foundation (Audit or Accounting Advisory), ideally through Manager or Senior Manager
- 10+ years of progressive accounting experience
- Experience in PE-backed or late-stage VC-backed SaaS or technology businesses
- Exposure to acquisitive, multi-entity, and international environments
- Clear executive presence and CFO-track ambition
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; MBA a plus
- CPA strongly preferred
- Net Suite experience preferred;
