Tax Preparer

Description We are looking for an experienced Tax Preparer to join our team on a contract basis in Summit, New Jersey. This position requires in-depth knowledge of individual tax returns and expertise in using tax software with attention to detail. The role is performed in-person and offers a dynamic opportunity to contribute to a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

- Prepare accurate individual tax returns in compliance with federal and state regulations.

- Utilize Lacerte Tax Software to efficiently process and manage client data.

- Conduct thorough reviews of financial statements and supporting documents to ensure proper documentation.

- Communicate with clients to gather necessary information and address tax-related inquiries.

- Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance.

- Provide guidance and expertise to clients regarding tax-saving strategies and deductions.

- Verify and analyze tax data to identify discrepancies and resolve issues.

- Collaborate with team members to meet deadlines and achieve organizational objectives. Requirements - Proven experience in preparing individual tax returns.

- Proficiency in using Lacerte Tax Software.

- Strong knowledge of federal and state tax regulations.

- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

- Effective communication skills for client interaction.

- Ability to work in-person in Summit, New Jersey.

- Capability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
