Responsibilities
The role is located at Summit Oaks Hospital, a private acute care and chemical dependency treatment center in northeastern USA.
The Mental Health Associate (MHA) works as part of the treatment team, providing continuous patient care, supervision, interaction, role modeling, and monitoring patients ranging in age from preschool through geriatrics, depending on the nursing unit assigned.
- Taking vital signs
- Conducting educational groups
- Responding to codes
Full‑time, day shift from 7:00 am – 7:00 pm with alternating weekends.

- B.S. in a health‑related field with one year of psychiatric experience, preferably in an inpatient setting; or two years of experience in a psychiatric setting with evidence of participation in continuing education related to mental health preferred.
- Psychiatric inpatient experience for adults, adolescents and dual populations preferred.
- Must maintain CPR and First Aid, Verbal De‑escalation and Handle with Care certifications which will be provided by the hospital.
