Therapist – Respiratory Therapist

Job Summary:

The Respiratory Therapist provides specialized patient care focused on pulmonary function testing, CPAP device initiation, and respiratory equipment management. The role involves collaborating with physicians to support accurate diagnosis and treatment.

Responsibilities:

• Perform pulmonary function tests and analyze results to assist clinical decision-making.
• Initiate and educate patients on the use of CPAP devices and inhalers.
• Support requests for durable medical equipment such as oxygen concentrators and nebulizers.
• Set up and demonstrate the proper use of respiratory and DME equipment to patients.
• Work closely with physicians to coordinate patient care and ensure compliance with protocols.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient procedures and equipment usage.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active RRT or CRT credential from the NRBC.
• Possess a valid New Jersey Respiratory Therapist license (RCP).
• Demonstrate at least 1 year of hospital or physician office experience.
• Be computer literate and proficient with healthcare documentation systems.
• Hold current BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Graduate of a CoARC-accredited Respiratory Therapy program.
