PositionSummary
Plans and delivers nutritional care to patients according to physician diagnoses. Acts as a member of the multidisciplinary care team. Exercises professional judgment and conducts and monitors clinical nutrition performance improvement plans for the Food & Nutrition Services Department. Oversees all clinical nutrition staff and ensures compliance with department policy and regulatory agencies.
QualificationsEducation:
Bachelor’s Degree (Required)
Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (Active, Required)
- Knowledge of basic therapeutic diets.
- Knowledge of basic food service sanitation.
- Knowledge of food portion and waste control.
- Knowledge of industrial equipment and utensils, and skill in utilizing such.
- Knowledge of industrial kitchen operations and procedures.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.
- Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations.
- Consult with patients and family members concerning dietary needs and goals.
- Plan modified diets for patients as requested by attending physician or licensed practitioner.
- Conduct monthly inspections of the Dietary Services Department.
- Document patient charts with nutritional planning, and update as changes in nutritional needs occur.
- Adhere to facility, department, corporate, personnel and standard policies and procedures.
- Maintain confidentiality of facility employees and patient information.
- Other duties as assigned.
