Payroll Specialist

Description

Our client is seeking a skilled Payroll Specialist to join their team in Summit, New Jersey. This Contract to permanent position requires a dedicated individual with expertise in payroll operations, compliance, and client management. As part of a dynamic organization within the detail-oriented services industry, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring accurate and efficient payroll processing.

Payroll Specialist Responsibilities:

- Process payroll in a timely and accurate manner for employees across multiple states.

- Utilize payroll systems to maintain and update employee records.

- Address inquiries related to payroll, deductions, and taxes promptly and courteously.

- Reconcile payroll accounts and generate detailed reports for audits and internal reviews.

- Ensure proper handling of payroll taxes, deductions, and contributions in compliance with state and federal laws.

- Collaborate with clients and internal teams to deliver exceptional service and resolve payroll-related issues.

- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of payroll regulations and implement changes as required.

- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance payroll efficiency.

- Provide training or guidance to team members on payroll processes and systems as needed.

Payroll Specialist Requirements

- Demonstrated expertise in full-cycle payroll processing.

- Experience managing multi-state payroll operations.

- Proficiency in payroll systems, Excel, and MS Office

- Strong knowledge of payroll tax regulations and compliance requirements.

- Ability to manage payroll for large employee groups

- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in handling payroll data.

- Strong organizational and time-management skills.

- Effective communication skills to address payroll inquiries and collaborate with clients and internal teams.
