Position Summary
The Human Resources Assistant is responsible for the accurate processing, collecting, and filing of all documents required by the Human Resources Department. The Human Resources Assistant will also provide administrative support and work on special projects for the Human Resources Director.
Responsibilities- Ensure the accurate processing of all employee Human Resources documents
- Ensure accuracy of and maintain employee personnel files
- Coordinate pre‑employment activities, including scheduling candidates for interviews or lab work and initiating background checks
- Follow up the evaluation process for employees due for performance reviews and monitor completion rates
- Assist with the benefits enrollment process
- Assemble new employee orientation and benefit enrollment kits
- Conduct routine audits of personnel files to ensure we have current copies of signed job descriptions, licenses, and certifications when applicable
- Monitor licensure and training records in Lawson and conduct primary source verification
- Follow up requests for employment verifications
- Ensure confidentiality of employee records and use good judgment in maintaining all employee information
- Perform a variety of administrative and clerical duties as assigned by the Director of HR
- Order supplies for the Human Resources Department
- Adhere to facility, department, corporate, and standard policies and procedures
- Attend all mandatory facility in‑services and staff development activities as scheduled
- Adhere to facility standards concerning conduct, dress, attendance, and punctuality
- Support facility‑wide quality/performance improvement goals and objectives

Education and Experience: High School graduate/GED required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
Experience: One to three years of experience.
Skills- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Excel, and Word
- Knowledge of ICIMS/Workday/Lawson
- Skill in organizing and prioritizing workloads to meet deadlines
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations
- Ability to use good judgment and maintain confidentiality of information
