As a manager, you’ll have end-to-end responsibility for larger and more complex modules within a BCG project. You’ll apply generalist consulting skills to strategic digital and technology questions, working with clients to define strategies for change, win buy-in, and collaborate with teams to realize potential into performance. You will manage, support, and coach junior team members while also contributing as an individual contributor.
Within the Technology Advisory & Delivery (TAD) Chapter, you’ll help clients answer questions such as:
How will AI disrupt my business model? How can data and analytics enable personalized omnichannel outreach? How can I ship higher-quality digital services faster using agile?
- Technical experts who drive practical IT innovation.
- Data-driven storytellers who translate information into clear paths for clients.
- Collaborative, cross-functional team players who establish stakeholder relationships.
- Comfortable with ambiguity and capable of guiding through complex challenges.
- Change agents who align and onboard teams to implement new IT practices.
- Influencers who communicate effectively with Business & IT stakeholders.
- Agile advocates applying Agile methodologies to tackle challenges and enable change.
We expect broad capability to support client needs, grounded in deep technical knowledge in 2–3 primary areas. Topics include:
- Digital transformation: data and analytics platforms; cloud infrastructure; data management; IT architecture; software/product management (including Agile); governance.
- Experience across tech/digital offerings: roadmaps, current-state assessments, program delivery, IT benchmarking, vendor landscape, M&A IT transformation, cloud strategies, GenAI applications.
- Optimizing business and IT processes in complex, matrixed organizations; delivering data and digital platforms using Agile, Dev Sec Ops , and cloud-native architectures.
Specific topics include:
- AI & Data implementation: design and scale of AI/data-driven solutions; AI system configuration, monitoring, cost controls; enterprise integration patterns; ML Ops and observability; AI cost management.
- Technology Stack Transformation: target-state architectures, platform strategy, cloud and modernization paths, vendor decisions, transformation roadmaps, and execution plans.
- Advanced Planning Systems and Agentic AI for Supply Chain: APS/Agentic AI design, integrations, roadmaps, governance, and benefits realization.
- Long-standing technology topics: feasibility studies; ERP and packaged software integration; large-scale ERP/IT project management and SDLC activities.
- Lead client-specific strategic materials, synthesize insights, and deliver concise, actionable recommendations.
- Assist with proposals and business development; contribute to thought leadership and events.
- Present materials to clients and facilitate technical and strategic workshops; build client relationships.
- Define module scope for junior team members and guide analyses.
- Mentor and coach junior staff, set development objectives, and ensure quality of work.
- Provide quality assurance and foster a positive experience; model BCG’s Culture and Values.
- Bachelors or Master’s degree in IT, computer science, economics, supply chain/logistics, or related field.
