Technical Lead, IT​/Tech, Data Engineer

Akkodis is seeking a Technical Lead for a Contract job with a client in Summit, NJ. The ideal candidate must have strong, hands-on end-to-end Veeva Vault data migration experience, including large-scale document and object migrations, and the ability to lead migration efforts from strategy through execution.

Rate Range: $49/hour to $60/hour;
The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Technical Lead job responsibilities include:

• Lead end-to-end Veeva Vault data migration activities, including strategy, execution, validation, cutover, and rollback planning.
• Develop data migration strategy, cutover plans, rollback approaches, and execution timelines for large datasets
• Finalize source-to-target mapping and data transformation rules for object and document migration into Veeva Vault.
• Execute data migration using Vault Loader, custom migration tools, and Veeva APIs.
• Lead Veeva Object Record Migration and Veeva Document Migration, ensuring completeness and accuracy.
• Perform detailed data analysis, data verification, and reconciliation to ensure successful migration outcomes.
• Develop and lead custom scripting (Java or Python preferred) to support migration automation and data processing.
• Create and maintain progress trackers for all migration stages and milestones.
• Produce technical documentation aligned to customer SDLC processes and manage review and approval cycles.
• Troubleshoot and resolve data migration issues and discrepancies efficiently.

Desired Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 10+ years of relevant experience in enterprise data migration, with strong focus on Veeva Vault.
• Proven hands-on experience with Veeva Vault data migration, including large data volumes.
• Expert knowledge of the Veeva Vault data model, including documents, records, metadata, and relationships.
• Strong understanding of Veeva Vault architecture and security model.
• In-depth understanding of ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) concepts and tooling.
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently and as a team lead under tight deadlines and customer pressure.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Hands-on experience with Veeva Vault Quality.
• Experience supporting Quality Management processes in Life Sciences environments.
• Exposure to CPG or regulated industries.
• Experience using Java or Python to develop migration scripts and automation tooling.

Pay Details: $49.00 to $60.00 per hour
