Procurement Director Beauty Innovation

Hybrid

Manage the day‑to‑day operational, functional and personnel activities of the department. Propose and provide input to purchasing policies, procedures and performance standards. Conduct internal audits and implement remedies to achieve conformance with department policies. Lead innovation projects, execute procurement strategies and manage supplier relationships within the Operations function. Oversee the sourcing and purchasing of materials to support product development and innovation in the skin health & beauty industry.

• Lead the implementation of innovative procurement strategies for new product development in the Skin Health and Beauty brands in line with the strategic recommendations from the global EM procurement category team.
• Liaise with EM procurement category team to influence and execute category strategies at both the global and regional level.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to drive creativity and innovation in the procurement process.
• Gain expert understanding of brand needs and innovation territories for Skin Health and Beauty.
• Gain proficiency in ERP systems and update prices, material and vendor data on a regular basis.
• Identify and evaluate new suppliers and technologies to support the development of cutting‑edge products.
• Drive cost savings, unlock cash and fuel efficiency through creative negotiation strategies and supplier partnerships.
• Stay current on industry trends and market developments to inform procurement decisions.
• Manage the procurement budget for NPD projects, optimize value, and understand unit cost drivers without compromising on quality.
• Analyze market trends and pricing to identify opportunities for cost savings and product quality improvements.
• Lead negotiations with suppliers to secure favorable contracts for key initiatives.
• Provide input to departmental objectives and communicate objectives to teammates for performance monitoring.
• Conduct internal audits to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
• Stay updated on new technologies and industry best practices to enhance procurement efficiency.
• Provide constructive feedback and individualized coaching to junior members of the NPD team.

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in procurement, with a focus on new product development in the personal care industry.
• Comfort in managing complex data and gleaning insights to create regular presentations and updates for leadership.
• Strong negotiation skills and ability to build strong relationships with suppliers.

• Proven track record of driving innovation and creativity in procurement processes.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross‑functional teams.
• Experience in developing and implementing purchasing policies and procedures.
• Knowledge of market trends and pricing analysis.
• Experience in contract management.
