Specialist, CAR-T Production Planning and Scheduling

Position Summary

The primary responsibility of this role is to schedule operations supporting clinical and commercial CAR-T manufacturing at the Summit West site. The role will require significant collaboration across internal and external functions to ensure on-time fulfillment of final product. The ideal candidate will have a demonstrated ability to balance multiple competing priorities, participate in projects, and follow Scheduling best practices.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Create, maintain, and publish detailed finite schedules for operations including apheresis and PBMC/CMAT receipt, material kitting, cell processing, and media manufacturing.
  • Serve as point of contact for the Manufacturing Operations organization and Value Stream functions including ECQ, Facilities, and Quality to provide support, facilitate operational continuity, and address issues as they arise.
  • Complete all ERP lot creation and batch record request tasks required for weekly document issuance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional business partners such as OpEx, IT, Materials Management, Master Data Management, and Manufacturing Technical Services on system implementations, continuous improvement projects, and software/dashboard development.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Understanding of cell culture, cryopreservation, purification, and aseptic processing or lab technique
  • Knowledge of cGMP/Pharmaceutical regulations
  • Proficient in planning/ERP systems (SAP) and analytics tools
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Office applications
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient presentation development and delivery skills
  • Ability to identify continuous improvement opportunities
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to solve routine and complex problems
  • Ability to provide on-call support for emergent issues
Education & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • 2–3+ years of relevant work experience, preferably in a regulated pharmaceutical manufacturing environment
  • 1+ years of experience as a production scheduler or planner
  • 1+ years of experience supporting ERP systems (preferably Oracle or SAP)
  • An equivalent combination of education, experience, and training may substitute
Working Conditions
  • Intermittent walking and sitting; ability to sit or stand for extended periods may be necessary
  • Physical dexterity sufficient to use computers and documentation
  • Sufficient vision and hearing capability to work in the job environment
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
