Registered Nurse, Evenings PACU, Medical Center

Job responsibilities involve working with other healthcare professionals to treat patients with various injuries, illnesses or disabilities. This role includes monitoring patients, administering medications, keeping records, consulting with healthcare providers, and educating patients, among other duties.

• Maintains accurate, complete health care records and reports.
• Administers medications to patients and monitors them for side effects and reactions.
• Prescribes assistive medical devices and related treatments.
• Monitors, reports, and records symptoms or changes in patient conditions.
• Assesses, implements, plans, or evaluates patient nursing care plans by working with healthcare team members.
• Records patient vital signs and medical information.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

• Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program.
• Current NJ state licensure as a Registered Nurse.
• BLS certification.
• ACLS certification.

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree.
• All ASN must complete their BSN studies within five years of their start date.
• 2-3 years of experience in the PACU (required).
• PALS certification, or 3 months upon hire.
• NIHSS certification.
• ED or Critical Care experience a plus.
• Specialty certifications such as CPAN, CAPA, CCRN, etc.
• Proficient with EMR documentation, especially Epic.
