Responsibilities

Responsible for assisting doctors/nursing staff in ensuring that the basic needs of each patient are met. Daily tasks might include feeding and cleaning the patient or monitoring vital signs and health.

Principal Accountabilities
  • Assists patients with activities of daily living including bathing, feeding, dressing
  • Obtains and records vital signs, weights, and heights
  • Assists patients with mobility: ambulation, transfer, discharges and ROM activities
  • Performs post mortem care
  • Performs EKG's, phlebotomy and blood glucose monitoring
  • Observes and reports changes in patients' condition to the RN
  • Maintains phlebotomy equipment and inventory
  • Other related duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • HS Diploma or equivalent
Preferred
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Patient, compassionate nature
  • Ability to operate as part of a team, alongside physicians and nurses
  • Proficiency in computer-based data management programs and information systems
