Certification Details
- Assessment skills across Pediatric to Geriatric patients with competent knowledge of growth and development stages.
- Performs thorough, systematic, comprehensive, and accurate patient assessments.
- Consistently demonstrates competent clinical skills and provides appropriate nursing care to unit population.
- Knowledge and skill in emergency equipment and procedures.
- Maintains complete and accurate documentation of nursing process and patient progress.
- Demonstrates professional practice responsibility and knowledge of policies and procedures.
- Promotes patient and family-centered care with professional, courteous, and positive interactions.
- Follows National Patient Safety Goals including Universal Protocol and patient identification.
- Knowledge of conditions, diagnoses, procedures, and equipment for surgical patients.
- Individualizes patient care according to procedure and anesthesia type across continuum of care.
- Assesses patient reaction and understanding of procedures and instructions.
- Contributes to perioperative team by prioritizing patient care and changes in condition.
- Assesses patient understanding of surgical procedures and provides pre- and postoperative education.
- Supports timely completion of patient testing and evaluates Pre Admission Testing (PAT) orders for appropriateness.
Job Details
- 1 year experience required.
- BLS certification required.
- RN License required.
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
- Associates or Bachelor's Degree preferred.
Job Requirements
- Shift: PM (7p - 7a).
- Hours per day: 12.
- Hours per week: 36.
Schedule Information
- Unit involves care of surgical patients.
- Knowledge of surgical procedures and anesthesia required.
- Perioperative team collaboration and patient education specific to surgical care.

- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
