Registered Nurse Endoscopy, Summit NJ

Overview

Demonstrates knowledge of the conditions/diagnoses, procedures and equipment encountered in the Endoscopy unit including Gastroenterology and Pulmonary. Maintains SGNA standards of practice. Assesses patient reaction and understanding of procedure/instructions, actively involving the patient and family in teaching. Exhibits flexibility in meeting unit staffing needs and aims to improve patient satisfaction. The department hours are Monday–Friday 6:30am–6:00pm, with Saturday 7:00am–4:00pm and an on-call team for emergencies.

Required:

• Current NJ RN license
• BLS
• Must be able to push/pull/lift up to 35 lbs and tolerate long periods of standing and/or walking
• Obtain BSN within 5 years of hire

Preferred:

• BSN
• ACLS and PALS
• CGRN
• Endoscopy experience
• Critical Care experience
