American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Operating Room position requiring NJ or compact RN licensure and the ability to scrub and circulate on robotics, ortho, neuro, and general surgery cases.

• Operating Room setting within a hospital
• Must be able to scrub and circulate on robotics, orthopedic, neuro, and general surgery cases
• Performs pre-operative and post-operative assessments and pre-admission testing evaluations
• AM shift schedule from 11a to 12a
• 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week, 36 hours per week
• On-call required
• Floating required, including to a sister hospital nearby
• Uses Epic for charting

• Active NJ or compact RN license required
• BLS certification required
• CNOR certification preferred
• Minimum 1 year of OR nursing experience required
• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred
• Experience with pre-operative and post-operative assessments required
• Experience with pre-admission testing evaluations required

• Provides direct patient care across pediatric to geriatric populations undergoing surgical procedures
• Individualizes patient care based on procedure type and anesthesia across the continuum of care
• Maintains accurate and complete documentation of nursing care and patient progress
• Follows National Patient Safety Goals including Universal Protocol and use of two patient identifiers
• Collaborates with the perioperative team to prioritize patient care based on changing needs
• Provides patient and family education regarding surgical procedures and instructions
• Local candidates accepted
