Experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse needed for an 8-week contract in Summit, NJ. Join a fast-paced surgical team and provide safe, high-quality perioperative nursing care in a collaborative hospital setting.

This Operating Room nursing job is ideal for an RN who thrives in a high-acuity surgical environment and is committed to patient safety, sterile technique, and excellent perioperative care. Summit offers convenient access to New Jersey and New York metro healthcare opportunities.

• At least 1 year of recent Operating Room RN experience required
• Active Registered Nurse license in the state of New Jersey or compact eligibility, if applicable
• Current BLS certification
• Knowledge of perioperative nursing standards, sterile technique, and surgical safety practices
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, high-acuity surgical setting
• Strong communication, critical thinking, and patient advocacy skills

• Provide direct nursing care to patients throughout the perioperative process
• Prepare operating rooms, equipment, instruments, and supplies for surgical procedures
• Maintain the sterile field and support infection prevention and patient safety protocols
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia professionals, surgical technologists, and interdisciplinary team members
• Monitor patients and respond appropriately to changes in condition during surgical procedures
• Complete accurate and timely clinical documentation
• Support efficient room turnover and readiness for scheduled cases
• Deliver compassionate care and education to patients and families before and after procedures
