American Traveler is hiring an experienced OR RN for a travel position requiring the ability to scrub and circulate on robotics, ortho, neuro, and general surgical cases.
Details- Operating Room setting within a hospital
- Must be able to scrub and circulate on robotics, orthopedic, neurologic, and general surgical procedures
- AM shift schedule, 11a-12a, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week
- 36 hours per week
- On-call required
- Floating required, including to a nearby sister hospital
- Uses EPIC charting system
- Active NJ or Compact RN license required
- BLS certification required
- CNOR certification preferred
- Minimum 1 year of OR nursing experience required
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred
- EPIC EMR experience preferred
- Perform comprehensive pre-operative and postoperative patient assessments and education
- Support completion of Pre Admission Testing (PAT) and evaluate orders for appropriateness
- Maintain accurate documentation of nursing care and patient progress
- Follow National Patient Safety Goals, Universal Protocol, and safe patient handling techniques
- Collaborate with the perioperative team to prioritize and coordinate patient care
- Local candidates accepted at a different pay rate
- First-time travelers may be considered for this role
