Key Responsibilities:
- Conducting research directed toward discovery and development of new scientific capabilities to enhance and diversify the expertise of Kenvue's Oral care, digestive health and allergy R&D.
- Taking a lead role in development of new molecular biology and immunology preclinical methods to assess technologies and products in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
- Staying up-to-date with the latest scientific advancements and technologies to inform research strategies and approaches.
- Designing and developing studies to advance and progress the expertise and capabilities in the oral and systemic immune response related to oral care, digestive health, allergies etc that are predictive of clinical outcomes, provide mechanistic insights or generate new, scientifically robust, claims.
- Communicating results of research regularly, internally to partners and leaders, and externally at appropriate scientific conferences and professional engagements.
- Publishing scientific discoveries to help share the outcomes of our research initiatives.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of a Master's degree with 4 years of applied research experience OR a PhD with 0-2 years of applied research experience is required. A degree in Biology, Immunology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences or a related major is required.
- Experience working with cell culture and tissue culture and 2D and 3D cell preclinical models and data analysis.
- In depth knowledge of immune response and inflammatory biomarkers related to oral health, digestive health, allergies etc.
- Biosafety Level 2 laboratory operations.
- Ability to translate complex scientific topics into meaningful insights and actionable strategies.
- Ability to work independently and on a team.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills and strong presentation skills.
Previous experience with the following is preferred:
- Bioinformatics programming software such as R and minitab.
- Detail-oriented and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proficient in computer software packages and literature searches.
- Understanding of clinical and in situ study design.
- Experience with imaging tools.
- Peer reviewed publication and IP submission process with a proven track record of conducting and publishing impactful research in peer-reviewed journals.
This position may require up to 10% overall travel.
