The Project Manager acts as a clearinghouse for all customer interactions and requests related to a defined program. Coordinates all program‑related activities—including engineering, tooling, production, schedule, status, and quality—for the sunset process and holds overall responsibility for program performance.
Responsibilities- Examine tools, production finished goods, and performance requirements to ensure completeness and accuracy.
- Prepare progress reports and exhibits required for the sunset process.
- Administer tool return process.
- Maintain program status and ensure customer orders are entered into the ERP system.
- Support performance by addressing obstacles that may impact rates and requirements.
- Resolve questions, discrepancies, or issues that arise internally or from the customer; problem‑solve order‑related issues and address scheduling, expedite requests.
- Strong interpersonal skills for external and internal interactions.
- Ability to provide direction to Program Administrators.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw solid conclusions.
- Ability to interpret limited technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and manage several abstract and concrete variables.
- Expert problem‑solving abilities.
- Intermediate presentation, ERP/database management, Microsoft Office, and computer operation skills.
- Experience interpreting extensive technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form.
- Knowledge of development and product life‑cycle gates.
- University degree (B.A.) from a four‑year institution, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Three or more years progressive experience in Project Management, Business, Administration, Engineering, or an equivalent field demonstrating strong management abilities.
- Previous experience in DOD or Aerospace preferred.
- Experience with international customers and supply chains.
- Extended periods of sitting at a desk in an office environment.
- Work primarily indoors; sites may not be temperature‑controlled.
- Exposure to moderate noise levels.
- Exposure to hazardous equipment and contaminants.
- Shared work spaces with other employees.
- Requirement to lift, push, pull, or bend objects up to 50 lbs.
- Standing or walking for 8 to 12 or more hours per day (varies by role, shift, or overtime).
