Position Summary
The Penske Maintenance Coordinator position at our Sumner location is focused on managing inventory and administrative processes that support maintenance operational efficiency, effectiveness, customer satisfaction, and profitability.
Major Responsibilities- Inventory Productivity:
- Full oversight of inventory productivity at the branch(es) for timely service support while mitigating risk of inventory loss.
- Maintain optimal inventory levels through ordering parts per sourcing procedure, ensuring suppliers deliver purchases defect‑free and on‑time, partnering with Centralized Parts Ordering daily.
- Receive and store parts in an organized and accessible manner; update Parts Net timely and perform frequent inventory cycle counts, ensuring parts are available when needed.
- Manage new & used battery inventory and ensure tires are on hand in the right quantity and specifications.
- Ensure warranty items are shipped and received on time; follow up on returns and warranty claims with the warranty department.
- Partner with Customer Service Coordinator to schedule repairs as parts become available.
- Vendor support and accountability, ensuring payments are processed correctly.
- Process Analytics:
- Perform analyses and reviews of inventory, maintenance profitability, warranty campaigns, cycle counts, return on investment reviews, and other areas; investigate and recommend solutions to risk issues.
- Use systems such as Service Net or AS/400 to understand operational dynamics for problem solving and process improvement.
- Other Responsibilities:
- Support the branch financial manager with guidance and information to contribute to branch performance and profitability.
- Complete projects and tasks assigned by Branch Financial Manager and District Financial Manager.
Monday through Friday, 7:00 am to 3:30 pm.
Qualifications- High school diploma or equivalent required; degree preferred.
- Interpersonal and relationship‑building skills with an ability to collaborate with branch team members.
- Competent written and verbal communication skills.
- At least 2 years of customer service and operations experience required; 2 years in service and parts department preferred.
- Agile, quick learner who enjoys collaborative projects and continuous education.
- Advanced computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint required.
- Regular, predictable, full attendance is essential.
- Willingness to travel as necessary; work required schedule and location; complete Penske employment application; submit to background investigation and drug screening.
- Read, communicate verbally and/or in written form; remember and analyze information; understand instructions or guidelines.
- May need to stand, walk, sit; use hands to touch, handle, feel, reach; occasionally lift or move up to 25 lbs/12 kg.
- Vision: close, distance, peripheral, depth perception, adjust focus.

$25.00 per hour or $52,000 per year.
