Job Overview

Do you bring out the star in your students? Taylor Robinson Music is looking for private music instructors, especially for drums. Our motto is "Learn to Play From the Heart" and we strive to make music lessons accessible and affordable. We do not have a brick‑and‑mortar studio in Lake Tapps, WA, but we have students needing teachers ASAP.

• Pay: $20 - $30 an hour on an independent contractor basis; rate depends on travel time, experience/education, and student retention.
• Job Types: Part‑time, Contract
• Location: Lake Tapps, WA; lessons can be conducted in students’ homes, your own home, your studio, or via webcam.

• Teach private music lessons primarily in drums.
• Host lessons in various settings (students’ homes, own home, studio, or webcam).
• Set your own schedule and curriculum/lesson plans.
• Maintain good communication with our office and be organized and on time for all lessons.
• Follow COVID‑19 precautions: wear a mask, sanitize hands, and practice social distancing when applicable.

• Formal music training not mandatory but either a degree in music, enrollment in a music program, professional performing experience, or previous teaching experience is required.
• Ability to work with children and communicate effectively.
