Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Civil Project Manager/ Sr. Project Engineer to oversee civil operations at multiple job sites in the South Puget Sound area. This role requires managing multiple earthwork and utility crews, coordinating with the general contractor and subcontractors, and ensuring work aligns with project schedules and quality standards. The position involves handling RFIs, submittals, cost impacts, and complex tasks such as HDPE piping spool drawings and shoring designs.

Responsibilities

+ Manage the day-to-day operations of multiple crews performing civil construction duties, including earthmoving, grading, stormwater, sewer, and water tasks.

+ Coordinate with contractors, review schedules, and oversee submittals and RFIs.

+ Identify scope changes and estimate cost and schedule impacts accurately.

+ Handle complex tasks such as HDPE piping spool drawings and shoring designs.

+ Manage utility field crews and ensure effective project coordination.

+ Conduct trenching and shoring operations.

+ Plan crews and manage pricing and change orders.

+ Prepare notice letters to general contractors.

Essential Skills

+ 3+ years of experience managing civil construction operations.

+ Strong understanding of underground wet utilities and underground piping.

+

Experience with wet underground utilities, civil, shoring, piping, stormwater, and construction management.

+ Proficiency in project management software such as Primavera, Bluebeam, and Procore.

Skills & Qualifications

+ Experience managing utility field crews.

+ Trenching and shoring experience.

+ Ability to coordinate project engineering tasks.

+ Strong skills in change order management and cost estimation.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Sumner, WA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $120000.00 - $130000.00/yr.

Medical w/HSA program 100% employee coverage & 50% for dependents begins the first of the month after their hire date. 401K plan 3% matching (depending on company performance) starts 90 days after employment. PM 10 days PTO, PE 5 days PTO get 7 paid holidays in addition to PTO. Bonus program; this depends on the company's yearly financial performance.
