Underground Wet Utilities Project Manager

[Job Description]

A local construction company located in Sumner, WA is currently hiring for an experienced Civil Project Manager / Sr. Project Engineer to oversee civil operations at multiple job sites in the South Puget Sound area. This role requires managing multiple earthwork and utility crews, coordinating with the general contractor and subcontractors, and ensuring the work aligns with the project schedules and quality standards.

This position will involve handling RFIs, submittals, cost impacts, and complex tasks such as HDPE piping spool drawings and shoring designs.

Pay - $120k/yr.

- $130k/yr.

Location - Sumner, WA (Will spend the majority of time at job sites, but will report to the main office in Sumner, WA when needed)

Key Responsibilities ]

* Manage day-to-day operations of multiple crews that perform Civil construction duties (earthmoving, grading, stormwater, sewer, and water).

* Coordinate with contractors, review schedules, and oversee submittals and RFIs.

* Identify scope changes and estimate cost and schedule impacts accurately.

[Qualification Requirements]

* 3+ years of relevant experience in civil construction management.
* [Must Have]

Experience with Wet Underground Utilities (strong understanding of underground wet utilities and underground piping).

* Trenching and shoring experience.

* Experience managing civil and/or utility field crews.

* Experience managing change orders and pricing.

* Someone who values relationships over being overly aggressive to subcontractors to cut costs.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Sumner, WA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $120000.00 - $130000.00/yr.

Medical w/HSA program 100% employee coverage & 50% for dependents begins the first of the month after their hire date. 401K plan 3% matching (depending on company performance) starts 90 days after employment. 5-10 days of PTO (depending on position) 7 paid holidays in addition to PTO. Bonus program; this depends on the company's yearly financial performance.
