Position: Fall 2026 Co-op – Maintenance & Engineering - Keurig Dr Pepper

Job Overview:

Fall 2026 Co-op - Maintenance and Engineering at Keurig Dr Pepper (KDP) in Sumner, WA plant will give you hands‑on experience in a large‑scale manufacturing environment, supporting cross‑functional teams and contributing to safety, quality, maintenance, operations and planning initiatives. You’ll be exposed to the full production process – from green bean receiving to roasting, grinding and packaging – and develop a strong business mindset and insight into key performance indicators that drive operational decisions.

Schedule:
  • The KDP Fall 2026 Co‑op Program will run from July 13 – December 11, 2026
  • Location:

    Sumner, WA (Plant)
  • Full‑time; 40 hours per week
  • Monday‑Friday
  • 8:00 am until 5:00 pm, flexibility to collaborate with night shifts if needed
  • In‑person
As a Maintenance and Engineering Co‑op, you will:
  • Collaborate closely with Mechanics, Operations and Engineering Teams.
  • Conduct data analysis to identify opportunities for improving machine efficiency and performance.
  • Gain hands‑on experience with maintenance operational process, including inventory control and preventative maintenance.
  • Support change management through best practice sharing and standard work documentation.
  • Gain knowledge in executing operational plans and projects, including DMS (Daily Management Systems) for day‑to‑day operations, new equipment startups, and innovative product qualifications.
  • Assist with TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) implementation and Lean activities, including participation in continuous improvement or Kaizen events and developing, implementing and improving autonomous and preventive maintenance work streams.
  • Support daily manufacturing operations to deliver targeted safety, quality, production and cost results.
  • Prepare standard reports/documentation to communicate results to all levels including senior management.
  • Undertake and successfully complete simple or basic project development tasks to include writing and/or verifying specifications, maintaining product/process documentation, testing processes, equipment, raw materials and product, and validating equipment and processes.
  • Be a contributor to problem solving, cost reduction, quality and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Recommend methods for improving efficiency and reducing waste of materials and utilities.
  • Collect and calculate savings data on improvement projects.
  • Balance work priorities to meet the day‑to‑day requirements of the plant business teams.

Total Rewards:
  • $31 /hr
  • Paid bi‑weekly
  • Sign‑on Bonus: $5,000 (paid within 30 days of employment)
Requirements:

Helpful Skills (not required, but beneficial):

  • Technical Tools: SQL, Python, Excel, Power BI, Solid Works or other CAD software.
  • Automation & Controls: PLC Ladder Logic.
  • Process Improvement:
    Lean and Six Sigma tools and methodologies.
  • Systems Integration:
    Experience with system or data integration.
