Deburring Technician

This role supports multiple production departments by operating metalworking equipment, deburring and finishing parts, and ensuring products meet strict aerospace quality standards. You will work with a variety of machines and handheld tools to remove burrs, blend welds, and finish titanium and sheet metal components while maintaining a safe, clean, and efficient work area.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in a variety of production departments as needed to support manufacturing operations.
  • Run production equipment such as hydraulic presses, waterjets, punch presses, and CNC machines in accordance with established procedures.
  • Deburr metal parts using handheld tools and grinders, ensuring all edges and surfaces meet required finish standards.
  • Grind welds and blend titanium and other metals to achieve smooth, consistent finishes.
  • Inspect products in line with customer requirements and quality specifications, identifying and reporting any nonconformances.
  • Maintain an acceptable level of production output while meeting quality and safety standards.
  • Keep the work area clean, organized, and free of debris to support a safe and efficient environment.
  • Perform routine equipment maintenance and basic troubleshooting to keep machines in proper working condition.
  • Follow all applicable state and federal laws, company quality programs and procedures, and safety and environmental regulations.
  • Use basic computer skills to access work instructions, document production activities, and support quality documentation as required.
Essential Skills
  • Production experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Hands-on deburring experience with metal parts, including sheet metal components.
  • Experience grinding welds and blending titanium surfaces.
  • Mechanical aptitude and comfort working with industrial equipment and tools.
  • Ability to stay focused and alert while performing repetitive tasks.
  • Punctual, polite, and respectful approach to working with coworkers and supervisors.
  • Basic computer skills for reading instructions and documenting work.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Comfort working in an aerospace manufacturing environment with strict quality standards.

Environment

The role is based in a very clean and organized aerospace manufacturing facility with approximately 32 employees. You will work with equipment such as hydraulic presses, waterjets, punch presses, CNC machines, and various handheld deburring tools and grinders. The position follows a day shift schedule from 5:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., supporting production of sheet metal and titanium aerospace components. The environment emphasizes safety, adherence to procedures, and teamwork, with clear operating and maintenance instructions available to guide daily work.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
