Veterinary Assistant – Emergency
Join our fast-paced ER team and make a real impact for pets and the people who love them.
We're looking for a compassionate, motivated Veterinary Assistant to support our Emergency department. This role is perfect for someone who trives in a collaborative environment, stays calm under pressure and is passionate about high-quality of patient care.
ScheduleSunday-Wednesday, 7am-6pm
What You'll Do- Assist veterinarians and other team members with emergency patient care
- Safely restrain pets for exams and treatments
- Prepare and maintain treatment areas and equipment
- Monitor hospitalized patients and report changes promptly
- Perform vitals, basic nursing care, treatments, diagnostics and procedures
- Communicate compassionately with clients and team members
- Help maintain a clean, organized and efficient ER environment
- Previous veterinary experience (ER experience a plus)
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced setting
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Compassionate, dependable and detail-oriented
- Comfortable working with critically ill and injured patients
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
