Inspector, Quality Assurance - QA​/QC, Quality Engineering

Job Summary

Responsible for the verification of product characteristics and associated manufacturing documentation and other quality records, utilizing a range of inspection techniques and methods including, but not limited to visual, mechanical, automated, contact and non-contact. This responsibility is discharged under the authority delegated by quality.

• Exemplifying a safety-first mind-set and ensuring that Health, Safety and Environmental policies and standards are followed.
• Performing inspection processes as described by the product work instructions and/or other directions.
• Performing first article inspections in line with site operating policies, procedures and work instructions.
• Executing customer- and regulatory-delegated inspection processes as authorized by those parties and maintaining those delegated authorities.
• Supporting root cause analysis, preventative and corrective actions to reduce/eliminate non-conformances.
• Maintaining positive, collaborative relationships with internal and external customers, as well as co-workers.
• Supporting continuous improvement of production and inspection processes by implementing Lean initiatives.

Required Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience in inspection methods and techniques and following relevant work instructions.
• 1+ years of experience with AS9100 series requirements.
• 1+ years of experience working with LEAN processes and practices.

Preferred Qualifications:

• GKN Experience
• Experience in an Aerospace operating environment
• Apprenticeship, Associate’s Degree in a technical subject or equivalent
• Awareness of AS9100 series requirements
• Previous delegated product acceptance authority granted by an Aerospace OEM or regulatory authority
• Familiarity with 3D model based Engineering
