Flagger - Certified

• Set up traffic zones according to regulations or traffic control plan (TCP) using jobsite signs, cones, etc., and determine basic traffic control needs under the supervision of a TCS or Foreman.
• Use hand signals and direction signs to direct traffic around the road construction site.
• Communicate with other flaggers using hand‑held radios.
• Inform construction crew of any traffic issues that may affect their safety.
• Clean up the jobsite, including sweeping, putting away tools, and organizing tools on the flatbed.
• Break down the job and collect materials after completion. Maintain accurate inventory of signs and equipment.
• Perform general laborer duties as necessary.
• Follow all safety rules and regulations and practice preventive safety measures; wear required PPE.

• Ability to receive and communicate specific instructions clearly, firmly and courteously; quick and safe maneuvering to avoid danger from vehicles.
• Ability to control signaling devices such as paddles and flags to provide clear guidance to drivers approaching a temporary traffic control (TTC) zone in frequently changing situations.
• Ability to understand and apply safe traffic control practices, sometimes in stressful or emergency situations.
• Ability to recognize dangerous traffic situations and warn workers in sufficient time to avoid injury.

• Availability to work weekends and occasional nights.
• Willingness to travel to various worksites.
• Ability to work long hours and in all weather conditions.

• Current flagger's card.
• Pass a drug screen.
• Pass a background check.
• Valid driver's license with a good driving record.
• Insurable under the Company's vehicle insurance.
• Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.

Salary: $21.75 - $27.75 per hour
