Receiver, Warehouse

The primary purpose of a Receiver is to support and meet the daily requirements as a data entry-level worker in warehouse operations. The receiver/warehouse associate will be responsible for day-to-day tasks that keep the inbound side of the warehouse running, such as but not limited to, other warehouse functions such as picking orders, packing, and shipping orders and organizing and retrieving stock.

What You Will Do:

• Unload floor stacked containers and palletize cartons according to Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
• Visually verify the quantity, part number and overall quality of the cartons/pallet.
• Stage pallets utilizing various pieces of MHE.
• Accurately receive orders into WMS by using the system functions provided.
• Generate labels and labeling completed pallets with license plate locations so it may be put away accurately
• Assist in the put away process to bin locations (rack or bulk)
• Communicate missing product or quality issues to distribution center management.
• QC cartons off a container and verify product is correct internal and external.
• Check product for quality damage.
• Verify product utilizing the appropriate carrier, shipping priority and shipping program (PC).
• Participate in daily cleanups.
• Communicate overages, shortages, and damages to other departments.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor

Working Conditions

• Environment: Warehouse
• Extreme Exposures: Works in areas requiring exposure to varying temperatures, extreme heat or cold and damp or drafty conditions
• Schedule: Variable schedule; including nights and weekends - occasional overtime may be required
• Physical Requirements:
  • Heavy;
    Lifting up to 75 lbs: regularly lift objects weighing up to 50 lbs and occasionally move objects that weigh more than 100 lbs with a pallet jacket
  • Regularly required to reach with hands and arms, above and below the shoulders
  • Regularly required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; must be able to be on feet for majority of shift
  • Frequently grasps, turns, manipulate objects of varying size and weight that require fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination
  • Occasionally required to sit, climb, or balance
  • Vision requirements include ability to perceive things closely, from a distance, peripherally, depth and ability to adjust and focus - reading and visually verifying information
• Travel Required: Yes - Limited; will be required to travel between multiple worksites based on volume and business needs

What we offer:

The hourly range for this position is $19.74 - 22.77 per hour. The base hourly rate may vary based on experience, role tenure, performance, industry, and location. Eligibility for the annual performance incentive may apply. Jazwares is a multi-state employer, so the salary range may not apply to other states.
