Warehouse Lead

What You Will Do

• Performs and supervises picking, receiving, and put away of replenishment or repack.
• Assigns and leads daily work of staff members.
• Reviews, prioritizes and organizes all outgoing orders and verifies order accuracy.
• Identifies areas of improvement and updates existing work procedures and practices.
• Ensures warehouse equipment is maintained and in proper working order.
• Maintains a high degree of visibility and access to employees on warehouse floor.
• Leads by example, trains, and motivates staff.
• Resolves warehouse-related issues with representatives from other departments throughout the company.
• Coordinates with the area manager to address personnel issues and requests.
• Maintains a working knowledge of all warehouse operations and WMS functions.
• Maintains safety programs and all required safety training for assigned warehouse staff; complies with and implements safety requirements and regulations.
• Leads by example: trains, coaches and mentors staff.
• Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.

• High School Diploma or GED
• 3-5 Years of warehouse experience
• 0-3 years of leadership experience
• Forklift Certification required – must maintain a current certification on a standup high‑reach, sit‑down forklift and transporters
• Able to multitask, organize, prioritize, and manage time efficiently
• Proficient verbal and written communication skills; able to effectively communicate with employees at all levels of the organization
• Ability to thrive in a high‑pressure, fast‑paced, and time‑sensitive environment
• Can easily adapt to shifting priorities

• Extreme Exposures:
  Works in areas requiring exposure to varying temperatures, extreme heat or cold and damp or drafty conditions

  Variable schedule; including nights and weekends – occasional overtime may be required
• Physical Requirements:
  • Heavy; lifting up to 75 lbs; regularly lift objects weighing up to 50 lbs and occasionally move objects that weigh more than 100 lbs with a pallet jacket
  • Regularly required to reach with hands and arms
  • Regularly required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; must be able to be on feet for majority of shift
  • Frequently grasps, turns, manipulates objects of varying size and weight that require fine motor skills and hand‑eye coordination
  • Occasionally required to sit, climb, or balance
  • Vision requirements include ability to perceive things closely, from a distance, peripherally, depth and ability to adjust and focus – reading and visually verifying information
• Travel Required:
  
  Yes – Limited; will be required to travel between multiple worksites based on volume and business needs

The hourly range for this position is $21.62 – $25.10 per hour. The base hourly rate may vary based on experience, role tenure, performance, industry, and location. Eligibility for the annual performance incentive may apply. Jazwares is a multi‑state employer, so the salary range may not apply to other states.
