Position Overview

As an accounting professional working in a small fast‑moving company, you understand the importance of accuracy and detail in executing a firm’s accounting policies and procedures. As the General Accountant, you will report to the Head of Finance and Administration, and regularly interface with Sales, Marketing and Operations leaders and associates. The role is based at our studio/offices in West Ashley.

What

You Will Do
  • Maintain and reconcile the general ledger
  • Perform monthly bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies
  • Prepare journal entries and supporting documentation
  • Assist with month‑end and year‑end closing processes
  • Provide accounting schedules and financial details for monthly financial statement preparation
  • Maintain accurate financial records and ensure data integrity
  • Process and reconcile payroll‑related entries and liabilities
  • Monitor and reconcile credit card transactions and expense reports
  • Utilize SAP Business By Design or similar ERP systems for accounting functions
  • Support accounts payable and vendor reconciliations
  • Ensure compliance with company accounting policies and procedures
  • Maintain organized accounting files and records
  • Identify and help resolve accounting discrepancies and operational issues
  • Work cross‑functionally with operations and leadership teams as needed
Education

Bachelor’s degree in accounting or business administration

Required

Skills & Qualifications
  • 2-4 years general accounting experience either in an accounting firm or manufacturing company
  • Solid working knowledge of ERPs in a manufacturing environment; SAP experience a plus
  • Budgeting, general ledger, and monthly closing/reporting expertise
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, work independently, think on your feet
  • Detail oriented and comfortable working in a fast‑paced environment
  • High level of accuracy in completing tasks
